2nd Live Nation Worker Killed by Madonna’s Collapsed Stage
A stage being built for an upcoming Madonna performance in Marseille, France collapsed on Thursday killing one worker instantly and now another that was seriously injured has died as a result of his injuries. Eight other workers were injured by the collapse, five of them still in serious condition.
The Madonna concert had been scheduled for July 19th, but due to the collapse of the stage it has been canceled indefinitely.
Madonna was in Italy at the time of the accident. In a statement issued to the news the singer expressed her sadness in regards to the accident, saying that she was “devastated” by the news.
As of now, her July 21st show in Barcelona and all other scheduled European tour dates are still expected to take place.
