So you are obviously not from the U.S., Where is it you are from?

I am from Georgia, south Caucasus country, between Caspian and Black seas.
Between Russia and Turkey, motherland of Golden fleece, Stalin and Prometheus.
My people are Pioneers of metalworking and wine making.
However, most important character of my people is uniqueness of musical culture, named polyphony. We have pre-Christian folk songs, which are sung in three sometime four voices.
If you are interesting in samples of Georgian polyphony songs, I can send you a few of them.Have you ever played a show stateside and if so can you tell us how the
fans in the 2 countries differ?

Not yet, I am doing some experiments with music and still learning some new details of music.
What challenges are you up against being a solo artist?
————————————————-
During one century as a part of Soviet empire, we were isolated from Western Culture by Iron curtain.
After crushing the Soviet empire we just began the process of integration with Europe, but show business is not developed yet and practically we have not own experience yet, and my compositions are just 1st steps in this direction.
How has being a music artist improved your life?

I see that you have three albums out, which one was the funnest for you to
make?

My first album “Inspiration” just includes my tracks from one to 14. Second album includes the best from my tracks, of course I like it most of all, and the last one “Mechanical Horse rising” I make specially for one art club, it includes 12 dance and one ambient tracks.What has been your greatest experience as an artist?

We have Georgian musicians forum, and we exchange our experience there, and make
Friendship and a few participants of our forum suggest me to met one of the famous DJ in Georgia, after meeting he decided to give me the master class. During this process, I prepared the special album and one of the art clubs in Tbilisi was interested about this work, invited me and organized special party. I am glad that public’s attitude was quite worm towards my works.
What other bands have you played with?

In our musician forum, I found that one new metal band named “Pale Gray†needed sampler, so I met that band and played there during one year.
What plans do you have in the future for Papanu?

1st of all my name is Papuna
I am composer and making music, if anybody will be interested in it I will just glad.
Well I am going to try myself in other clubs too.
Do you have other hobbies other than music?

Yes, to have fun with friends, drink beer, watch football, interesting movies and TV shows.
Who has been your craziest fan?

Cannot say that I have “Crazy fans” some people just like my music.
before you got into a band, did you start with other instruments?

I was studying guitar but after I tested computer possibilities, I forgot about guitar, because in my soft I can realize myself as a pianist as a drummer and so on
Maybe this is interesting that not only I choose this way, my father also choose PC for painting.
What do you believe is the ultimate goal for Papanu?

My goal is very simple, as for most of musicians, to take noise and organize it as music.

To find your site is not easy, you must have more aggressive advertising banners,
but as I see it is just beta version now and this problem will be solved when more
people will know about this site.

what do you think was your biggest mosh pit?

Slam Dances at metal concerts are cool, once I was pushed by somebody, I flew
and pushed an other person who seemed to be angry on me, well at last I explained that
it was not my fault.

Is there anything you would like your fans to know about that I havent
asked?

I remember when Led Zeppelin during the Concert in Cairo, was playing Cashmere together with resident musicians and this was full harmony of two so different cultures, even enemies sometimes, this is bright sample of music possibilities.
