Steven Tyler Hospitalized
Thursday, August 6th, 2009Talk about fail. As if it wasn’t bad enough that the sound system went out in the middle of Aerosmith performing their old hit, “Love In An Elevator”, 61 year old singer Steven Tyler had to go and fall off the stage during their concert at Sturgis Motorcycle Rall in good old Rapid City, South Dakota.
In an effort to gracefully recover from the technical difficulties, the aging rocker decided to do what he does best to keep the crowd entertained: dance around. Unfortunately, a miscalculation with regard to the width of the catwalk caused Tyler to step backward and fall right into the crowd, where he landed awkwardly.
Sustaining minor head, neck, and shoulder injuries, Tyler was airlifted from the scene to Rapid City Regional Hospital as a precaution.
Although the concert was cut short due to the incident, Aerosmith’s middle aged fans were more than supportive and somehow managed to restrain themselves from rioting. Tyler is expected to make a full recovery.
